Moving Abroad
When I moved to Spain from the UK,I soon realised that life would be more complicated. Even from going to the notary to sign up for the house, right through to buying a car or gas bottles for the house (we do not have piped gas here). The person we bought from defied the tradition in Spain of leaving all the furniture and electric light fittings, so that meant my having to labour in 37% heat to fit all the ceiling and wall lights. With no air conditioning this was quite an energy sapping task. Sunshine most days is great, but weather patterns seem to be changing and this year there have been a lot of changeable days. Today satrted good but I hear a thunder storm coming. We have had 2 earthquakes in our area, only minor ones and nothing on the scale of China. |
